Roaming Around The Famous Architectural Wonders of Spain

Many people recognize Spain to be one of the best places to spend your vacation in, and with good reason too; Spain has one of the world’s oldest, riches, and most vibrant cultures that anybody can really enjoy. From skiing to museum hopping, to sunbathing at the beach, Spain has a lot to offer for everyone to do. Spain is also geographically situated in the manner that even the weather seems to be very diverse and varied; this is good for people who want to experience a Spanish getaway and not adjust too much to the climate.

One of the evidences of Spain’s diverse culture is the many different types of architecture you can find in itfrom the modernist buildings made by Frank Gehry to the classical buildings of Juan de Villanueva. Frank Gehry brought to being ultramodern buildings which are considered not just architecturally efficient but indeed regarded as a worthy masterpiece of modern art. One of the best designed museums in Europe is also in Spain, it’s the Prado Museum which was designed by Juan de Villanueva and is not just beautifully built but also houses over 4000 pieces of artwork.

One other famous edifice or group of structures is the Parc Guell which was commissioned by an aristocrat named Eusebi Guell who is interested to come up with a space for all the aristocrats of Barcelona to stroll and spend time in. The park itself was erected for the purpose of providing a special place for aristocratic families to stroll in, and it’s made to look like the manmade edifices are combining with the natural beauty of nature. What’s more significant than the pieces of art that describes the area is that the architecture seems to be dancing and blending with nature in that it accommodates the shape of trees, bodies of water, even the contour of the land in a very natural and exquisite way that is definitive of the style of its creator, Antonio Gaudi.

Spain also has plenty of nice beaches and beachfront communities like that of Castell d’Aro which is one of the more well-known beach communities near the Mediterranean Sea area. Skiing is a well-known leisure activity for people who live in the colder parts of the country like in the Sierra Navada Mountains, while the warmer parts of the country like the Castell d’Aro is proud of the seashores that are pristine and world-class in terms of amenities. The stone tiles, the details, the carving and the structures all reflect his philosophy that one does not necessitate to demolish the beauty of nature in order to build an impressive architectural masterpiece.

It’s fun to get around Spain with enough knowledge of the basic greetings, questions, kind words, and other Spanish sentences.
