How is SUNY NEW PALTZ graphic design program?
I’m about to enter my 2nd year at a community college and I was looking into going to SUNY New Paltz to continue afterward. I’m going for Graphic Design and I was wondering how good their program was. If anyone takes it, any information you could give me would be fantastic! I’m also looking at SUNY Oswego and Fredonia also… If anyone thinks either of those schools would be better for design, let me know why! Thanks a lot!
I currently attend New Paltz and love it (same year as you in fact). I’m not an art major but I’m friends with many (my friend in my room right now is in fact one). We have a very good art program, and I believe that’s one of the things we are known for. I have some GD major friends (considered it myself) and they all seem to be fans. We got a pretty spiffy computer lab for GD majors and all that, good stuff for photography if you’re into that, and the program in general is really good. The town, village and surrounding area are amazing (really close to these mountains, that has tons of crazy stuff going on). I’ve heard iffy things about the other schools.
