Design History Reader
Should I take AP English or Honors?
I am going to be a junior next year and I can’t decide whether I want to take AP English or Honors. I’m not a fast reader so I’m kind of worried about AP. My schedule for next year so far is:
English Honors
AP U.S. History
Pre-Calculus Honors
Chemistry Honors
Spanish 4 Honors
Psychology 1/2 year
Computer Aided Design 1/2 year
Computer Applications 1/2 year
Wellness 1/2 year
It depends. AP English will obviously be more rigorous. However, my teacher I have for it said that you shouldn’t expect your grade to be different from other honors classes. I don’t know if that’s true though because I’m taking it next year.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a fast reader. Think about this though. Are you good at finding symbols/themes (analyzing) in books? Do you like to read? Will you be able to handle a tough schedule? Are you good at writing?
