What kind of motorcycle doesn’t have choke?
My Kawasaki Ninja 250 is hard to start cold without using choke. I feel there are some other motorcycles that don’t have choke at all and is very easy to start the engine at any time – what motorcycles are like this? Can someone give me examples? Say, does Honda CBR600RR have choke? What’s the difference in design that makes choke unnecessary?
As everybody stated now days most have EFI.
Now a real motorcycle that didn’t have a choke was the old Harley flat head and knuckle head engines. YOu had to manually turn the distributor to advance the spark and use the kick start to bring the cylinders up to the compression stroke, switch on the ignition and stomp real hard most of the times it took a few kicks. Once started, you let it warm a little and then backed the distributor to its’ original position.
Now that’s what I call true biking fun!
