Design Hotels 2011

Architecture or Computer Science? please help me.?
I’m currently studying here in the Philippines taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management. I’m an incoming second year college student and i want to shift to another course. I want to be an art director or a graphic artist or an architect. If ever there was a course that would scope those jobs i had said. My first choice really is architecture but i don’t know…i’m on a career crisis! It’s like i’m scared to take up architecture.. [maybe because of the demands of architects on 2011 will be low] i really love making art and designing things in computer. i don’t know which is which..please help!!
architecture, computer science or computer engineering???
I’m an above average student in math and an average student in science [it's like science hates me!].. thanks. help please?
Computer science and engineering tend to focus on mastering computer languages and programming. There are also plenty of hardware courses, although the real hard-core hardware courses tend to go to electrical engineers.
Frankly, when assessing your future career, you should ignore short term effects like market demands. For all you know, the demand for architects may triple by 2015. Then wouldn’t you be glad you went with your passion?
Computers are used extensively throughout the industry. As an architect, the more you know about computers the better. My suggest – double major, or major in architecture and minor in computer science. That will not only make you happy, it will make you extremely marketable and give you a competitive edge in 4 years.
Good luck.
