Design Hp Theme
How to design a Harry Potter costume theme with me and my horse?
The user “my daughters a horse jumper” recently posted a question about horse-and-rider Halloween costumes. I’m definitely an obsessed Harry Potter fan, and wish to do everything in my power to have a HP theme costume 
haha.
My horse is a big, tall, bay TB gelding, and I’m a teenage girl (idk if that makes a difference). I was thinking a hippogriff, and I could be Hermione or something, but I don’t know how I would make Sabor into a hippogriff. I could make little wings for him to wear, but what about the fact that his head is supposed to be a bird? He would be super pissed if I made him wear a beak, I think… Then I was thinking thestral, but idk how I could make it obvious that he’s a thestral and not a bay pegasus…. THEN I was thinking unicorn, but he’s bay, and everybody does unicorns.
Any other ideas, guys? Thanks! I’m asking in advance so I have time to make a costume. 
Oh, this is for my 4-H club’s annual horse halloween party.
I love thestrals, that would be amazing! I would buy some white horse paint and paint the outline of the thestrals body on him. (So that his coat is the body and use the paint to make him skinnier and skeletal looking) You could be Hermione or Luna. 
For a hippogriff you could paint bell boots and use polo wraps for the bird claws/legs and make a feather headdress for where his ears are. Not sure about the beak though, maybe you could use paint for it too?
Or you could try something like taking fly mask material and putting it over his nose like you would with a nose mask. But shape it so it goes over the nose a little more and looks like a beak.
