Design Ink Plus

Anyone have experience with screen painting inks? Any advice?
I am planning a baby shower onesie project (freezerpaper stencils). I’m a little stumped on the best type/brand of paint though.
I did a trial run with Plaid Simply Screen and it painted on beautifully but the insructions say after heat setting, its machine washable, but that hand washing cold for best results. I’m a little worried that means with the repeated washings that baby clothes require, the designs we paint will fade fast.
The plus side is that the paint is very affordable.
I’m looking at ordering some online and hear good things about versatex and speedball.
Anyone have any thoughts on these? What would work best for this project and last the longest on the onesies with repeated washings in hot water?
If you are only going to print a few garments with fabric paint and you understand that your one year old will grow quite a bit over the next 6 months, then just paint his garment and put up with the bit of fading that will occur. By the time the paint starts to fade, you little one will have grown out into another size garment. in the meantime you will get the creative pleasure of the painting itself, and your one year old will look so cute in your creation. What I am saying is, don’t be too precious about the pictures longevity. On the other hand, if you are only going to paint one garment, then simply put it aside and soak it in some wool wash and cold water. It doesn’t really take that much effort.
So, just about any fabric paint you can get will work just fine.
