A General Idea of Spain’s Colorful Culture

Spain has long been one of the cradles of art and culture in Europe, mostly because of the diverse cultural influence that it has imbibed over centuries of trading and networking with surrounding countries and with traders coming to their country. It has a great number of things to offer, particularly in the theme of architecture, visual arts, music, dance, and sports. The diversification of Spain’s culture initiated for the longest time, hundreds of years ago when people of different nationalities would find their way into Spain’s shores.

One of the masterpieces that Spain takes pride of is the architectural wonders that were created by many architectural legends that are renowned all over the world. Frank Gehry designed futuristic buildings which are considered not just architecturally well-designed but also considered as a real work of modern art. Gehry designed the Guggenheim Museum and made the building itself a total product of art by designing it with post-structuralist standard by concept; as a matter of fact, architectural experts have touted the Guggenheim Museum as one of the best examples of post-structuralist designs.

You can’t visit Spain without hearing about what is known as Parc Guell, a park that was commissioned by Euseby Guell, originally meant to be a park exclusive for Barcelonan aristocracy. Parc Guell was designed by world-renowned Antonio Gaudi whose unique designs bring to mind a marriage of man-made structures and natural landscape. He was a nature lover, as you can see in his work; none of the structures he put in place interrupted the flow of nature’s design.

Another interesting place of art to visit in Spain is the Prado Museum which houses thousands of pieces of artworks, mostly paintings from the greatest artists all over the world. People go to this place to enjoy the clear water, the great community, and the festive atmosphere. If you’re into winter sports, the intriguingly varying weather of Spain gives you the chance to enjoy skiing down the Sierra Navada Mountains; the diverse weather of Spain makes it possible for you to enjoy snow in one area and sunbathing in another.

One way to make sure that you enjoy your stay in Spain is by learning a bit about their language. Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, it’s now possible to take Spanish language courses without having to go to language schools; Rocket Spanish is an example of a language course online. Rocket Spanish or Bust is an excellent tool that can aid you in learning to speak Spanish. You can give it a try by taking the free 6 hours, and then move forward to the paid, advanced lessons if you feel like it.

Going on a vacation to Spain could be a great present for yourself, and since it’s one of the best tourist spots in the world, this is indeed the best place to have so much fun. Studying another language doesn’t need to be so expensive; you can take language courses at a very affordable price online.
