how is it like studying in art center college of design in pasadena?
i’ve read some reviews and it says the people/students there are really professional. are they uptight? of course i want to have a friend.. and not everyone being a competitor. what is the real atmosphere there?
The kids I know who went to Art Center liked it a lot, even though it was very hard work. Yes, the students are professional, in part probably because they tend to be older, as the average freshman age is 22 years old, because it takes time to put together a great portfolio. I didn’t hear complaints about the students being competitive with one another, although I’m sure there are some. It was more comments on how you are expected to do a lot of work and they really push students to do their best. But it pays off in the end, employment in design is very competitive and having an Art Center education puts you ahead of the pack.
