Do you think it perpetuates weird standards towards marriage in general?
There is another one (I can’t find it) about creating your dream wedding (dress, cakes, etc.).
What do you think about young girls playing with this kind of thing? Harmless or weird?
Interesting points. I just thought it odd that the market is for teenage girls (more or less), and wondered what you thought of that.
So you don’t think it creates unrealistic expectations of weddings? I guess since I’ve been married before I guess I’m a little jaded on the “perfect wedding” concept.
Manufacturers are always trying to increase sales, and the manufacturers of video games are always busy trying to think up ideas that will get women to buy games. This is one of them.
Apparently a lot of women enjoy planning weddings and wedding dresses. Not the sort of thing I am interested in, since weddings leave me cold and always have done, but a lot of women seem to enjoy that sort of thing. I don’t know whether it makes any difference to what they already feel about weddings. I would assume that anyone who wanted to buy that type of game would be someone who was already fixated on weddings anyway.
