Fashion journalism. How do i start?
How do i start? Do i just study the history and different designers and stuff? Can i post like a blog of my ideas, but where? I have taken fashion design class, im still in highschool btw. So how do i start?
As with all kinds of journalism, you will want some kind of journalistic and writing background. Take a journalism class. Join the school newspaper. You may even get a fashion section or article in the school paper.
You will also want a college degree. Your best bet is to major in either fashion or journalism. Minor in the other. If you think you can handle the workload and your school offers it, you might want to take a double major.
After that, a blog or something like that would not hurt. You’ll want to make sure you promote it. Then, you’ll just want to interview with newspapers and magazines.
