Fashion Design Opportunities
Should I go to college or go to a fashion institute?
I love fashion design, I have researched many fashion institutes like Marangoni, Panorama, St. Martins etc., but many friends tell me that my fashion career may not work out and I won’t be able to choose other mayor careers, should I go to college and study to be a doctor, publicist or photographer? because if I do go to college, I have more job opportunities, what should I do?
I know people say “it’s for you to choose what you like the most” but that’s not exactly the answer I’m looking for.
Even though my first choice is Fashion Design
do both. Go to college just so that you can have a backup plan. But pursue your dreams. Its very rare that people actually enjoy their jobs, and the only way you know you will enjoy it is if you try it. So go to a college that offers both fashion classes and whatever else you want. In other words, Double major.
