Graphic Design Process Book Ideas

Is this paragraph grammatically correct?
Ever since I was a child I loved to build and design. Growing up, I spent hundreds of hours tinkering with LEGOs building Sky Scrapers, Bridges, and Ships. As I got older, I moved toward Art & Design because I liked the classes and the teachers. I enjoyed the variety of classes from Graphic Design to Foundry, where I used everything from computers to melted iron to create my projects. I loved this active participation in the learning process. The arts gave me the opportunity to rework small aspects of the physical world around me and incorporate concepts and ideas from my teachers, text books, television, friends, and of course myself. These experiences taught to think creatively as well as critically.
(What suggestions should i make?)
Ever since I was a child I have loved building and designing ___________ (things). Growing up, I spent hundreds of hours tinkering with LEGO bricks (“bricks” may be capitalized (Google it)), building sky scrapers, bridges, and ships with them. As I grew older, I further explored art and design. I enjoyed taking the variety of classes, from graphic design to foundry, in which I had used computers and _______ (whatever the thing is called that you had used to melt the iron) to create my projects. I loved actively participating in the learning process. The arts have given me an opportunity to rework small aspects of the physical world around me and to incorporate concepts and ideas which I have learned from teachers, textbooks, television and friends. These experiences have helped me to think creatively, as well as critically.
