what are the pros of living in soho nyc?
hey everyone. im just out of college and i have a job as a graphic designer/photographer for a freelance fashion design company in soho, nyc. with my salary i can afford the one bedroom or studio apartments im looking into, im from long island, so ive visited soho but never actually got the living experience there. so… before i jump on a specific place i just wanted to know some of the pros or cons if there are any about living in soho thanks!!
I live in Soho, if you can afford it , then go for it.
The pros: Its close to everything, close to LES, East Village, and Greenwich village. All the trains are easy to walk to. Lots of shopping and restaurants of course. If you’re into exercising, lots of gyms in Soho. If you’re into rollerblading or biking, you can go to the riverside park on the westside. Its really lively during the day, but very quiet at night. There’s a huge wholefoods on the bowery, and a supermarket on Mulberry. So food should not be a worry.
Cons: Lots of people shopping on the weekends especially. But if you have family in LI, you can always get away from the hustle and bustle every so often. And of course everything is more expensive here, but if you can afford to live here then you’ll be alright.
