Graphic Design Shortcuts
Good sites/forums to keep up with new ideas in my field?
I work in graphic design. We recently hired someone much younger than me. I really learned a lot from her, like new shortcuts and ways to do things in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. I also learned a lot from her in terms of style. It was nice to see a new perspective. It inspired me.
And then of course, she left **sigh** I don’t want to get stuck in a rut again, though. My boss basically tossed another applicant’s resume because she said she could tell when he graduated from college. So are there any good sites or forums I could visit to keep up with new ideas and perspectives? I know I’m probably going to have to find classes to keep up my software skills (which is going to be a real challenge, since I live in the blue middle of nowhere.) It would be nice, though, to be around other designers/artists, even if it’s only online. I’m pretty isolated here.

Try visiting justcreativedesign.com the site is run by a graphic designer and there are plenty of other links to other great websites. There is also many articles on the website which people comment on with great tips. This website has helped me a lot. Also has a lot of inspiration.
