Which university is better for Art/Design? OCAD vs UTM (art & art history joint program with Sheridan College)
I’m very confused on my University application.
I am accepted to OCAD for advertising, a BHD of Design. On the other hands, UTM offers BOTH a diaploma for the Arts from Sheridan College, and also BHD of art and art history from University of Toronto.
Art differs from Design, it is two completely different things.
Since it is half based on academic and studio work, with UTM, I will be able to gain management position jobs (such as Cultural Events Planner, Web Developer/Designer, Web Developer/Designer, Teacher/University or College Professor) so that would open up alot more career choices.
OCAD offers many great choices of specific courses (Such as Grafitti, Material arts, etc).
I am wondering, would the name of the paper of my education level affect my choice of career under the fields of design in the future?
Or would the job interview is mainly based on your portfolio work?

its tough, Id say OCAD is better. But it depends on what kind of environment you want to be in.
