Heart Design Wedding Ring Sets
has anyone here had their wedding ring made from gold?
would you mind if i asked how much you paid to have the gold melted down and made into a ring for you?
i’m aware it depends onthe weight of the gold and the design, so if you could include details like this i’d really appreciate it. i’ve got my heart set on having my ring made from gold jewellery i inherited from my grandmother. as sentimental as the jewellery is, the items are all damaged so i can’t wear any of it. i thought it’d be a nice way to keep the gold in the family by turning it into something i’ll wear every day – hopefully for the rest of my life. though if it’s going to cost somewhere in the region of hundreds of pounds then it may b e something i’ll have to do after the wedding, maybe as an anniversary thing.
One of my friends had this done at a jewellers near glasgow and it was only a couple of hundred pounds for the two.
I think what you are doing is a lovely idea, it means your grandmother can be there with you on your special day
