Interior Design Ontario Colleges

I want to be an Interior Designer When I’m older.?
I’m think about going into interior design. Not an Interior decorator.
I’m just going into grade 9 this september, and I haven’t taken any art classes yet except drama.
I’m just wondering what kind of classes for grade 10, 11, and 12 should I take?
Also, do you know of any college or universities in ONTARIO that would be a good place for interior design?
You may think I’m a little young to be thinking about it, but my grade 8 teachers all said we need to start thinking about it now.
Thanks for your help!
This may not have anything to do with the question, but I am a girl.
I just sort of get annoyed by people asking me if I’m a boy or a girl because of my name.
Thanks for your help!
I am sooo sorry, I meant interior decorator.
I always get confused about which one involves all the math and stuff!
Let me first say that you dont need any maths or science skills to be an interior designer.
Having said that, interior design is what you should go for. You can do it.
You can take art classes (but you dont have to, but it helps). If you are naturally creative, then that is a good start.
Many people can claim to be interior decorators, so to be distinct and stand out from that crowd, become a professional by going for interior design. You can start off with the HND interior design and then go for a BA (bachelors degree) in interior design after that. Who knows, you may even decide to go for MA (masters) interior design.
Its good that a young girl like you knows what she plans to do in the future, and you should be proud of that.
Meanwhile, you can start off on your own by trying out the interior design games made by nintedo. Its not just a game and it can prepare you for the interior design world.
Hope this helps.
Oh!, to find interior design schools in Ontario, just google ‘INTERIOR DESIGN SCHOOLS IN ONTARIO’. You will find answers searching patiently. Then contact them and ask them to send you brochures. Its free.
