Interior Design Spokane

Should I go to design school in Spokane instead of New York City?
I was accepted to the New York school of Interior Design in NYC, but they would only accept 10 credits.( I have about 3 yrs of accredited college)
On the other hand, Washington State University has accepted me as a junior level student. But its in Spokane Washington. Spokane is near the Idaho border, and is a small farming town. New York is well, NYC!
I lived in NYC for 5 months because I was attending the Fashion Institute of Technology as a transfer student. I decided not to continue there because they accepted me as a freshman as well. That’s why I tried the other school.
Will having more opportunities while in school be worth the extra time and MONEY spent? I will be in 90,000 or so after school in NYC.
Also I’m 23 years old. I’m really freaking out about the time issue of getting school done too.
You will, by far, have more opportunities living in NYC than in Spokane.
However, you must take money into consideration. If you are really, really, really talented, it won’t matter where you went for school if you have the determination and ambition.
Living in NYC, plus paying tuition, is VERY expensive. It’s not just room and board (FIT does not have dorms, as you know), but food. Food is more expensive. Cost of living in general is far, far more expensive. Unless you have parents/a high paying job to support you, it’s going to be hard.
Despite what you’d think, Spokane nearly ISN’T that bad. No, it isn’t NYC, but I’ve spent a lot of time there and know a lot of people from high school way back when who went to WSU and LOVED it. Also, you’re accepted at a better letter at WSU.
Also, as you know, FIT is BRUTAL. My fiancée went there. WSU has definitely much more of a laid-back feel.
