Exploring Spain’s Diverse and Interesting Civilization

Spain boasts of some of the most diverse types of cultures and landscapes in the world; this cultural and geographic diversityserves as a selling point for Spain’s tourism. Spain’s prominent edifices are famous not just because they were made by illustrious individuals but also because most of them are quite unique. Spain is where you go when you want to come into contact with the modern and old world in one place and be in the company of friendly locals.

Spain is also very famous for the remarkable assortment of architecture that it has, from the modern, futuristic kinds of building to the classical designs; some architects that have been regarded as illustrious in this field include Frank Gehry and Juan de Villanueva. Frank Gehry gave rise to advanced and innovative buildings which are considered not just architecturally well-designed but also considered as a real work of modern art. Juan de Villanueva designed the world-famous Prado Museum which is considered to be one of the greatest, most popular museums in Europe accommodating over 4000 paintings and thousands of other works of art.

An example of an exquisite architectural masterpiece is the Prado Museum which was conceived by Juan de Villanueva in Madrid. This park houses sculptures and buildings configured by the artist Antonio Gaudi whose works in the park include tiled walkways and structures that were designed to combine with nature and to work with it rather than against it. Antonio Gaudi was commissioned by Eusebi Guell to design a park that will serve as a place where the elite residents of Barcelona can come to stroll around; many features of that park still holds the fascination of architectural admirers until today.

For people who are interested with outdoor ideas, there are many activities worth looking into, and different places you can enjoy doing them in. Skiing is a well-known leisure activity for people who live in the colder parts of the country like in the Sierra Navada Mountains, while the warmer parts of the country like the Castell d’Aro is proud of the seashores that are pristine and world-class in terms of amenities. The stone tiles, the details, the figure and the structures all reflect his philosophy that one is not required to spoil the beauty of nature in order to build an impressive architectural masterpiece.

Many locals do know how to speak English so it’s not going to be a problem communicating with them, although it wouldn’t hurt to take some elementarySpanish with you before you go there. Of course, before you go to Spain, just make sure that you are familiar with simple local phrases that you can use to find your way around the country. Rocket Spanish is a Computer Assisted Language Learning that can help you speak Spanish fluently. Find out the simple words use in asking for directions, asking for help, and other questions that you really should know how to ask, as well as other things you learn for fun, like haggling in the common marketplace.

A lot of a country’s cultural character is embedded in their language, so it’s good if you can spend some time to learn a bit of it.. Spain is a great place to visit, especially for first time tourists who just want to see something different, colorful, artistic, and can be considered a revitalizing variation in scenery.
