Easy Design

I’m going to be entering my last two semesters in college soon, and I’m studying Mechanical Engineering. I have recently taken up an interest in nuclear engineering. I was wondering if anyone had any good senior design project ideas in that field? I figured my design project might be a good way for me to really get my hands dirty with the subject and see how I really feel.

The funny thing is, that they want us to design, raise money, and build something in a year. To give us the most realistic experience of being an engineer in the field.

SO. I want to choose something related to nuclear engineering to kind of use as my “portfolio” to use when I apply for grad school for Nuclear Engineering….

Only problem is, what will they LET us build that is reasonably safe…
