WalMart’s HP Pavilion p6203w-b AMD II 215, Nvidia GeForce 6150 SE work OK for World of Warcraft??r=1259381201?
Now that Windows 7 is out, I’m gonna upgrade from my multi-modified Win98-ME-XP wannabe home-built paperweight, mainly to play WOW, do webpage design work, and social networking/photo editing, and genealogy research. Been using my wife’s XP HP DB215A-ABA 563w and it’s running WOW at 5-10 fps; serious lag issues in Dalaran despite minimal graphics, effects. Does the p6203 have what I need for much better WOW gaming experience or should I get something better?
For gaming, it is really the graphics card that matter most. The Nvidia Geforce 6150SE is a pretty outdated and weak integrated graphics for gaming. But just installing a $50 graphics card on that P6203 should turn it awesome for Warcraft.
