How can I get a job at an Apple retail store?
I am a 19 year old college student in the Tampa Bay area, and I am a complete Apple fanatic. I’ve just bought my second iPhone (4 of course), and I have just purchased my second MacBook Pro. I love the company and their products to death, and I’m extremely familiar with the OS and many of its applications.
I already spoke to the hiring manager, who seemed impressed and took down my name, phone number, and email, and said he would give me a call within 2 weeks. If he doesn’t call within two weeks, I plan to go into the store and refresh his memory by giving him a hard copy of my resume.
Since I’m an Apple nut, and I’ve also got about a year of retail experience (and about 3 years of web design experience, if it counts), what else can I do to ensure myself a position at the Apple store?
Yes, you seem very keen on Apple – why not help the manager with a couple of brilliant ideas to bring people into the store to sell them equipment. Sales associates are a dime a dozen – but a marketing whiz is much more viable.
