Design Room Games

designing a game room/living room?
so, how do you combine a game room and a living room?
like, a room that kids would feel comfortable in, yet adults wouldn’t find gross.
can you tell me things i would need in it? what size tv?
which video game console? so on and so forth?
and, how to keep the video games easily organized?
thank you (:
Built in wall storage is certainly one way to go. Also divide the room in half, using the sofa to do so. Make a game and puzzle area behind the sofa, and all the seating faces the TV and/or fireplace. Your storage is most likely to be on either side of the TV/Fireplace. But make it cabinet storage instead of open shelving, and maybe even some drawers for small items like card games, dice games, and such.
Size of the TV needs to coordinate with the size of the room. If you get too small…you are kind of missing the point of all this fabulous technology and you may be able to get a larger screen for same or just a little more money. If you get it too large, you will be sitting too close and you will have to move your head back and forth like watching tennis. Either way is kind of a bummer.
Also…as often as possible, work storage into your furniture. You can hide things in ottomans, under seating, in coffee and side tables. So…make the space count!
